Only 10 units worldwide: luxury motorhome based on Ford revealed

The City of Seattle and the Mayor's office have released new details about the planned RV and tiny home safe lot at Glassyard Commons, located at 7200 2nd Ave SW in Highland Park. The site, owned by WSDOT and leased to the Low Income Housing Institute, is scheduled to open in November 2026 and will feature 72 RV stalls and 20 tiny homes. The city plans to add positions to the Human Services Department and increase funding for contracted outreach services, while also reviewing the impact on RV towing and storage costs. However, the initiative faces criticism from We Heart Seattle, which argues it repeats a failed playbook and raises unresolved questions about eligibility, costs, and compliance with the state Supreme Court ruling on towing fees.

Dwell RV Resort & Casita Cabins in Topock, Arizona, has added new amenities including pickleball courts, a pool, a fitness center, and BBQ areas. The resort is located three minutes from the Colorado River and offers 164 RV sites and 20 cabins. The new facilities opened ahead of Labor Day weekend and the fall travel season.

Construction is underway at Rock & Brews Casino in Braman, Oklahoma, on a major expansion that includes a 25,000 sq. ft. entertainment center and a 21-space full-service RV park. The RV park, located about 100 yards southeast of the casino, is expected to be completed in October 2026, while the R&B Live entertainment center is slated for completion in August 2027. The entertainment center will feature a 1,000-seat venue for concerts, comedy, boxing, MMA, and other events, along with a bistro-style bar, an open gathering space, and a VIP dining room. The RV park will offer full hookups (water, sewer, electricity) and a 1,200 sq. ft. clubhouse with restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. The project follows strong demand for the casino's existing boondocking program, which provides complimentary app-based overnight stays without hookups.

On Aug. 13, a fire starting in a motor home spread to a house and garage in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. No injuries, four cats survived, damage estimated at $100,000.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department confirmed that a fire at the Lakeview Terrace mobile home park resulted in the total loss of one passenger vehicle, one mobile home, two small outdoor buildings, and one RV trailer. A large barn, a dump trailer, another RV trailer, and two residential homes sustained fire damage. No injuries were reported. The main body of the fire has been extinguished, though some debris and trees are still smoking.

A 32-year-old US woman bought a used ambulance for $7,000 and, with her father, converted it into a mobile home. The renovation cost $26,000 in total, including the purchase price. The vehicle is equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator, shower, and a sofa that converts into a bed. Thanks to remote work, she travels while living in the ambulance.
