Accident in Moers: Motorhome collides with van – two seriously injured

On Saturday around 9 p.m. in Moers, a motorhome collided with a Mercedes Vito van at the intersection of Rheinberger Straße and Verbandsstraße. A 66-year-old woman and her 67-year-old passenger in the motorhome were seriously injured; five occupants in the van sustained minor injuries. The intersection was closed for accident investigation. After complaints: Stade motorhome site gets renovated access road

In Stade, the access road to the motorhome site at Schiffertor has been completely renovated after repeated guest complaints about potholes and water accumulation. Operator SMTG paved the area and installed new drainage pipes. Work began in November 2025 and was completed in time for the season despite frost delays. The site remained open during construction. In 2025, the 79-space site set a record with 18,635 vehicle overnight stays.

Decision Made: Controversial Project Approved

The Wasserburg municipal council approved the development plan for a special area for motorhomes and equestrian sports. The project includes an equestrian facility with a 48-space motorhome parking area on land previously used for orchards. A maximum of three tournaments per year (six days) is stipulated, and a mandatory booking system will reduce traffic. Construction starts in autumn, with opening planned for spring 2027.
