Oregon-based Motsmann Engineering has unveiled the Outranger, an off-road camper built from six fiberglass panels. The construction keeps the trailer's curb weight at just 650 kg, allowing compact SUVs like the VW Tiguan or Dacia Duster to tow it without requiring a BE-class license. The Outranger sleeps two, features a gravity-fed 53-liter water system that needs no winterization, and is priced from €23,500 in base trim and around €30,000 fully equipped. However, it is not sold in Germany, so buyers must handle import, customs, and TÜV approval themselves.
