The Peugeot 3008 Plug-in 225 can tow a trailer weighing up to 1,550 kg. The detachable towbar costs 820 euros and has a socket mounted low under the bumper that is difficult to reach but supplies the caravan with permanent and charging current. With a caravan attached, the lane-keeping and blind-spot assistants switch off; trailer-specific speed limit selection and recognition, a manoeuvring assistant and a guide line in the camera menu are not programmed. Electronic trailer stabilisation via ESP and adaptive cruise control are always active, but during automatic acceleration the cruise control revs the engine heavily.
