Clever Vans Duo 540: Compact Campervan for Two

According to an ADAC analysis, Thuringia is the cheapest federal state in Germany for camping. The average cost per night for a family of three in the high season of 2026 is 34 euros, with prices in the region increasing by only 1%, well below the national average increase of 7%.

Motorhome manufacturer Frankia is discontinuing two model lines — F-Line and Titan — with a special Final Edition series based on the Fiat Ducato chassis. The series includes three models ranging from 6.4 to 7.9 meters in length, featuring enhanced standard equipment such as lithium batteries, solar panels, and an Alde heating system. Prices start at 139,990 euros, which the manufacturer claims is 7,000–14,000 euros cheaper than ordering the options separately.

A replacement gas burner, the TRUMA CARVER, has been introduced for water heating and boiler systems in caravans. The component is designed for installation in existing Truma setups, including models like the Carver Cascade 2. It operates on liquefied petroleum gas and is compatible with the Carver series of water heaters.

A caravan was stolen from a secured parking site in Haltern and moved to the Netherlands. Police apprehended two suspects in Eindhoven after the owner, using a GPS tracker, reported the trailer's location. The vehicle has not yet been returned to the owner.

Due to rising fuel prices, the fuel consumption of cars towing caravans has become a relevant issue. According to CARAVANING tests over two years, only five models achieved a consumption of less than 11 liters of diesel per 100 km.

Caravan manufacturer Hobby has dismissed CEO Bernd Löher with immediate effect. The company's management in Fockbek stated it made this decision and is now seeking a successor.
