In the 1980s, developer William T. Collins, who had worked for Pontiac and DeLorean, introduced the Vixen 21 SE motorhome. It was designed as a lightweight, manoeuvrable and fuel-efficient camper capable of achieving 30 miles per gallon and fitting into a standard American garage. The model stood out against contemporary motorhomes, which often consumed around 30 litres per 100 km.
