Six campsites in Lower Saxony are among Germany's 25 most dog-friendly, more than from any other federal state, according to an ADAC evaluation. Campingplatz Hümmlinger Land in Werlte ranked fourth, while Campingpark Südheide (seventh) and Stover Strand Camping (tenth) also made the top 10. The ranking is based on online guest reviews, which highlight practical amenities such as fenced dog exercise areas with agility obstacles and rentable fences for individual pitches. Schleswig-Holstein has five sites in the top 25, with Naturpark-Camping Prinzenholz ranking second overall.
