Skagway, Alaska voters will decide in October whether to approve a $6.5 million bond to install water and sewer infrastructure at the current Garden City RV Park. The municipality plans to subdivide the site into 24 lots and sell them for housing to address the local housing shortage. Four lots are reserved for first-time homebuyers, and two will commemorate the former Pius X Mission, a residential school for Native children. If approved, construction could begin in 2028.
