Red Kite Touring and Lodge Park near Llanidloes has been named the best place to stay in Wales in the Practical Caravan Top 100 Sites Guide 2026, based on a public vote. The adults-only (18+) park sits on a south-facing hillside in the Clywedog Valley and offers 62 fully serviced pitches for caravans and motorhomes, plus luxury lodges for sale. From 2026, the park will operate year-round, including events for Guy Fawkes Night and New Year.
Mid Wales has been recognised as the best region in Britain for camping, glamping and caravan sites in the Pitchup.com Review Awards 2025, with an average rating of 9.5 from nearly 200,000 customer reviews. Two Mid Wales Tourism members — Nyth Robin (rating 9.9) and Meadow Springs Country and Leisure Park (rating 9.8) — made the top 10 lists for Wales and Mid Wales respectively.
