Several developments regarding motorhome infrastructure are unfolding in Spain.
Santander: free parking in limbo
The Santander municipality has yet to find a management company for the Las Llamas parking lot to make it paid. A previously planned 30-space lot in Mataleñas was cancelled due to local protests. Authorities rule out creating new similar facilities in the city.
Siero: political disagreements
In the Siero municipality (Asturias), the People's Party is demanding a motorhome area in Pola de Siero, similar to the one recently opened in Lugones (30 spaces, €164,905). The party plans to bring the issue to the next plenary session, citing available municipal land (over 21,000 m²). The mayor of Siero confirmed that the government is already working on the project and expressed hope that the People's Party will not vote against it, as they did previously regarding the Lugones area.
Cuntis: new project
The Cuntis municipality (Pontevedra) is studying the possibility of creating a motorhome area on Rúa da Presiña. The site is already used as a parking lot and has access to water.
