Authorities in Malaysia's Sabak Bernam district have announced plans to expand ecotourism, including the construction of a nature resort in mangrove forests and the creation of a network of stops for motorhomes and caravans. The project aims to attract tourists without harming the environment.
A total of 1 million Malaysian ringgit has been allocated for the development of Bumi Hijau beach, which already features a campsite, a caravan park, and a floating market. On weekends and public holidays, visitor numbers exceed 3,000 people.
