The Camper Rally Gathering 2023 in Kuala Terengganu, held from 1 to 3 September, brought together 250 campervans and motorhomes and over 700 family members. Organised with the Campervan & Motorhome Association of Malaysia, the event featured 231 motorhomes, including 12 from Thailand, 6 from Germany and one from the United Kingdom. The figure was recognised by The Malaysia Book of Records as the most recreational vehicles in a rally gathering, breaking last year's record of 122 motorhomes at Putrajaya Wetland. State authorities announced plans to develop motorhome areas in every district.
