Authorities in the Italian region of Piedmont have announced €1.8 million in funding to create or upgrade 41 motorhome parking areas. The money comes from the national FUNT fund and will allow projects previously on a waiting list to be carried out. The total number of new or renovated sites in the region will reach 109.
Municipalities can receive non-repayable grants of up to €60,000 for new sites and up to €30,000 for renovations. The largest number of projects, 15, is planned in the province of Cuneo. Two sites will be located in the province of Biella (Ponderano and Mongrando, with funding of about €35,000 and €30,000 respectively), and two more in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (Pieve Vergonte and Calasca-Castiglione).
