New South Korean campsite opens bookings for April opening

The Cheongnyangsan Suwon Campground, opened under a cooperation agreement between Suwon and Bonghwa, offers visitors a range of summer activities. These include making constellation lanterns, yoga and meditation therapy, crafting syrups from local specialties, and woodworking classes. The campground features 18 accommodation units, including auto camping zones, caravans, and glamping. Since its opening in October 2024, it has attracted 6,067 visitors, a 67% increase compared to the previous period.

The Suwon camping site at Cheongnyangsan Mountain in Bonghwa County, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, will open reservations for August on July 1. Applications are accepted via the Campingtalk app and website until July 15, followed by a lottery. Half of the spots are reserved for residents of Suwon and Bonghwa, the rest are random. The site has 12 auto-camping spots and 18 accommodation units (caravans, glamping).

From July 3 to 5, KINTEX in Goyang will hold the 5th Camping Festa featuring 137 companies and 840 booths with camping gear, motorhomes and accessories. The 11th Korea International Tourism Show (KITS 2026) will run concurrently, followed by the Pet Show Korea 2026 (Fall) from July 24 to 26 with 250 exhibitors.

Cheongnyangsan Suwon Camping Site in Bonghwa County (North Gyeongsang Province) offers summer activities: fountain, yoga, workshops. Booking via CampingTalk, 50% of spots reserved for Suwon and Bonghwa residents. Visitor numbers up 67% since October 2024.

Goun Village Camping Site in Uiseong County, North Gyeongsang Province, has launched a seasonal 10×10 meter outdoor pool. The pool features a shade canopy and a mushroom-shaped fountain, operating until September 13. Admission is free for both overnight guests and day visitors. During peak season (July 25 to August 9), the pool is open on weekdays as well, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Facilities include parking, showers, changing rooms, table tennis, and a foot volleyball court.

The Ulsan Children's Reading Center will run a family reading festival 'Summer Star Sea' from July 25 to 30. Activities include workshops, lectures, and overnight stays in caravans with stargazing. Registration opens June 29.
