Malaysia plans motorhome camping site in Sabak Bernam to boost ecotourism

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof toured the Bernama motorhome displayed at the Energy Transition Conference 2026 (ETCon26) in Kuala Lumpur. The motorhome, named Bernama Mobile Studio, was launched a year ago to enable live interviews in the field. It is the first media vehicle in Malaysia to use a recreational vehicle for reporting, powered by electric batteries. The three-day conference attracted about 4,000 participants from over 60 countries.

The Selangor State Tourism Board announced the opening of the first high-altitude RV campsite in the region, located at the Sri Bekat resort in Fraser's Hill. Mitsubishi is testing a prototype of the new Pajero directly against the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. The model is expected to debut in the third quarter of 2026. The new Pajero will be built on the ladder frame platform from the Triton pickup, feature Super Select II four-wheel drive, and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
