A Guarda has officially opened a new motorhome service area at its port. The project is part of the PSTD A Guarda sustainable tourism plan, funded by NextGenerationEU. Total investment amounted to 305,000 euros. In addition to the motorhome area, a park-and-ride facility and connections to coastal trails were created. Mayor Roberto Carrero and Galicia's Tourism Director Xosé Merelles attended the opening. The works also improved pedestrian and cycling mobility, restored native vegetation, and renewed pavements, drainage, lighting, signage, and street furniture. The park-and-ride aims to reduce traffic pressure near the port and Monte Santa Trega. The overall PSTD A Guarda plan has a budget of 1 million euros and covers four areas: green transition, sustainable mobility, digital transformation, and tourism competitiveness.
