The Buk-gu District office in Daegu has completed the improvement project for the Geumhogang auto camping site, investing 600 million won. The project reduced the number of sites from 20 to 16 but increased their size, installed wooden fences and lawns for privacy, and renovated toilets, showers, walkways, and rest areas.
The renovation took place from April to July 2026. The camping site will officially reopen on August 11. District head Lee Keun-su stated that convenience and safety were enhanced based on visitor feedback.
In the far part of the site, opposite the entrance, new toilets, showers, and washing facilities were added, the entrance road was widened for vehicle safety, and outdated signage and internal navigation were updated. According to sources, the widened road also facilitates vehicle turning, and the new facilities are aimed at families with children.
