Expansion of Camper Area in Tavernola: From 10 to 24 Spaces

Dave Michelotti, spokesperson for the civic movement 'XArco', has denounced the systematic illegal parking of motorhomes in the Bolognano sports field area and other parts of Arco. He states that every weekend, motorhomes occupy public spaces, turning them into unauthorized campsites. In 2025, the municipality launched an awareness campaign urging the use of legal parking areas, but the situation has not improved. Michelotti calls for stricter enforcement by local police.

The municipality of Sanza (Salerno province), as part of the 'Borgo dell’Accoglienza' project funded by the Ministry of Culture under the PNRR, has approved the creation of a tourist information center in the former Santo Stefano church and a new motorhome area with full services. The initiative aims to revitalize the historic center and attract tourists, including the growing motorhome travel segment.
