The Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department is modernizing motorhome stopover areas to attract tourists year-round. The fully renovated site in Sisteron offers 20 pitches open 24/7. According to Camping Car Park, since early April it has hosted 238 motorhomes, a 40% increase, and is expected to generate at least €40,000 in revenue for the town. Local authorities estimate a well-designed 10-pitch area could yield up to €50,000 annually and help manage tourist flows.
