Adana's first caravan park opens on May 10

A tense situation has developed on Riva Beach in the Beykoz district of Istanbul due to the long-term unauthorized parking of caravans. Local residents complain about noise and environmental pollution, as well as caravans blocking the coastal road, especially on weekends. Riva neighborhood head Mevlüt Eren stated that caravans are set up on land partly owned by the Istanbul Regional Directorate of Forestry and partly by private owners, without any permits. He noted that the lack of toilets and washbasins leads vacationers to use the forest for natural needs and light fires, creating a fire hazard in the pine forest. One caravan resident, Nurhan Koç, said she has been living there for about 15 months, considers the area private property, and sees no problem, emphasizing her right to freedom and that she causes no harm.

Gümüldür Nature Park (Gümüldür Tabiat Parkı) in Izmir has reopened to visitors after three years of renovation. The park is available for day trips and caravan camping.

The Agonya Şenliği 2026 festival will take place on August 7–9 in Akçakoyun village, Yenice district, Çanakkale province. It is organized by the Çanakkale Camping and Caravan Association (ÇAKKAD). Turkish manufacturer Monde Design has introduced the Monde 375 caravan, measuring 3.75 meters (total length about 5 meters) with a full bathroom. The model weighs 980 kg, making it towable by most mid-size cars and electric vehicles. It is designed for a family of three, featuring two sleeping areas, a kitchen, diesel heating, and two solar panels with a total output of 310 W. In Germany, the model is available from €22,999.

A caravan was completely destroyed by fire on the coast in Enez district of Edirne province. The fire occurred at a parking area on Liman Yolu road; the owner is Dilek Ç. The cause is under investigation; no casualties reported.
