The French magazine Le Monde du Camping-Car published an article about Morocco as a popular destination for motorhome travellers. The publication notes the country's geographical proximity to Europe, the diversity of landscapes from the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts to the Atlas Mountains and southern deserts, as well as a mild climate during the winter months. According to Patrick Laplanche, president of the French Federation of Motorhome Associations and Clubs, between 10,000 and 12,000 French motorhome travellers visit Morocco annually. The country has several hundred campsites and reception areas, as well as specially designed routes for this type of tourism.
