According to the Camping Report 2026 by Campeggi.com, bookings at Italian campsites increased by 34% compared to 2025. Families account for 77% of bookings, couples without children 18%, and solo travelers 5%. The most requested services are animation and mini clubs (37%), pet-friendly facilities (19%), and proximity to beaches and pools (15%). 65% of tourists prefer fixed accommodations (bungalows, mobile homes), 32% seek pitches for motorhomes, caravans, and tents, and 3% choose glamping. 52% of bookings are from Italians, 48% from foreigners, led by Germans (21%). The fastest-growing destination is Liguria (+64%), followed by Sardinia (14%) and Tuscany (10%). Italians stay an average of 7–8 days, foreigners two weeks.
