Prices for buying and renting RVs in Russia have been announced. The most affordable option is Russian camper trailers from 590,000 rubles. Self-propelled motorhomes on the secondary market cost from 6.6 million rubles, new ones from 12.9 million rubles. According to Sergei Lobarev, head of the National Association of Motor Tourism and Caravanning, a new motorhome in 2026 costs on average from 7 million rubles, and a used motorhome or trailer can be purchased for about 1 million rubles. Other sources cite the purchase of a base model from 1.5–2 million rubles.
Rental of a towed camper starts from 7,000 rubles per day, self-propelled from 18,000 rubles. According to other data, renting a motorhome for a family of four costs 20–30 thousand rubles per day, and overall rental costs from 5,000 to 23,000 rubles per day. When booking from 10 days, a discount of up to 5% is possible, from 20 days up to 10%, from a month up to 13%.
Renting out a motorhome can yield up to 20–25% per annum, paying off in 4 years, but requires regular maintenance and carries risks of accidents and damage. Russia has about 35–40 thousand RVs, while Europe has more than 5 million.
