Sergey Lobarev, head of the National Association of Motor Tourism and Caravanning, reported that the average price of a new motorhome in Russia starts at 7 million rubles. Renting such a vehicle for a family of four costs 20–30 thousand rubles per day.
More than 100 companies in the country convert vehicles, but there is no mass production. A used motorhome or a car with a caravan can be found from 1 million rubles. Surveys showed that 85% of respondents are ready to buy a motorhome if prices drop.
Russia has 35–40 thousand registered motorhomes versus 5 million in Europe, due to high costs and lack of infrastructure.
