Mould risk in motorhomes: why cushions should be stood up in winter
Original source: PROMOBIL

When winterising a camper, seat cushions and mattresses are often left lying flat, allowing moisture to accumulate underneath. This leads to musty odours, stains and mould. It is recommended to dry all cushions thoroughly before storage, stand them upright or space them apart, avoid airtight packaging and ventilate the vehicle every two to four weeks.
