The City of Seattle and the Mayor's office have released new details about the planned RV and tiny home safe lot at Glassyard Commons, located at 7200 2nd Ave SW in Highland Park. The site, owned by WSDOT and leased to the Low Income Housing Institute, is scheduled to open in November 2026 and will feature 72 RV stalls and 20 tiny homes. The city plans to add positions to the Human Services Department and increase funding for contracted outreach services, while also reviewing the impact on RV towing and storage costs. At the upcoming RV Dealers Convention/Expo in Las Vegas, a session will address building a high-performance lead response system for RV dealers. The North Carolina RV Dealers Association (NCRVDA) will hold its annual Fall RV Show & Sale from Aug. 21-23 at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. The event will showcase over 200 RV brands from 11 dealers, with free seminars on topics such as traveling with pets, boondocking, and RV maintenance. Dealers will be clearing 2026 inventory, offering show-only pricing.
