Route guide for 5-day motorhome trips in summer 2026

Chinese outlet Sina has published a guide to four five-day motorhome routes for the summer 2026 holidays, with budgets and conditions. For the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region it lists the 680 km Grassland Stars route at 16–24 °C with a budget of about 2500 yuan for two people. For Chengdu and Chongqing it recommends an 800 km loop through western Sichuan at about 3000 yuan per vehicle, noting a risk of altitude sickness at 2500–3500 m. For Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai it suggests a southern Zhejiang route at about 2000 yuan for two people with many free stopovers. For families with children and no experience it names the 400 km Hainan island loop at about 3500 yuan for two people after a subsidy of up to 500 yuan. Motorhome rental is estimated at about 800 yuan per day including insurance.
