Choosing a 5-day summer motorhome camping route: 4 tested itineraries, budgets and tips

A Chinese publication presented four five-day motorhome camping routes categorized by departure region. For the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, the 680 km Grassland Starry Sky route is recommended, with average temperatures of 16–24°C; for the Sichuan-Chongqing region, the approximately 800 km Western Sichuan Small Loop with a budget of about 3000 yuan per vehicle; for Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, the Southern Zhejiang Mountain and Water Loop with free campsites; and for families with children, the 400 km Hainan Island Loop, where subsidies can reduce rental costs by 500 yuan.
