Due to high fuel prices, motorhome owners are increasingly avoiding French campsites. Since the start of the Middle East war, occupancy at these holiday spots has dropped. A campsite owner near the Spanish border reports that motorhomes have been scarce since March. The reason is that fuel prices in Spain are significantly lower (about €1.5 per liter for petrol and €1.7 for diesel), prompting tourists to travel further south.
