A Japanese couple is departing on a 9-day car camping trip to Hakodate in October. They booked round-trip ferry tickets in advance, with the return ticket won in a lottery at the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026. For the trip, they swapped two sleeping bags for a double down quilt due to expected cold, packed a microwave and refrigerator, and prepared deodorising bags with a container for rubbish and a cover for wet umbrellas. The itinerary is not fully planned, but they have fixed must-visit food spots including Hakodate salt ramen, seafood, the Mount Hakodate night view, Lucky Pierrot burgers, and Hasegawa Store's yakitori bento.
