In June 2025, a new Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) named 'Noda Paapuru' opened in the village of Noda, Iwate Prefecture. The station includes a dedicated campsite for motorhomes and is participating in the Japan Camping Car Rally 2025 (JCCR2025).
On-site facilities include a grocery store selling local products, including 'Noda' salt, and a food hall serving dishes made from local ingredients. Popular items include salted ice cream and salt-koji fried chicken. Visitors can experience rural life in the Sanriku region.
