Lorena, a Spanish woman, shared on TikTok her decision to leave traditional housing and move into a camper van. She cited high housing costs and a desire for greater freedom as the reasons.
Lorena emphasized that the transition was not immediate: "It has been a process of learning, making mistakes, reinventing myself, and starting over as many times as necessary." She earns a living through online naturopathy consultations, collaboration with a cosmetics brand, and creating her own jewelry line. She also purchased a truck to convert into a home for herself and her partner.
According to her, the converted van serves as both her home and her workplace, where she holds online consultations. Her main expenses have shifted from rent to fuel and maintenance, while arranging water, electricity, and internet requires constant planning.
