Spanish couple José and Patri, creators of the channel Aventuras Jose y Patri, gave up renting four years ago and moved into a motorhome. They work as online fitness trainers and continue their project Málaga Entrena while traveling through Spain and Europe.
They say payments for the motorhome are comparable to rent, but the investment can be recovered upon sale: "Rather than paying rent, it's better to pay for a motorhome, and the day we sell it, we recover the investment we've made." The couple chose a fully equipped model with kitchen, toilet, bed, and solar panels. Their 6-meter-long home on wheels also features a living room and a reinforced electrical system of 330 watts.
Over the past three months, they traveled through the Swiss Alps but faced a lack of heating in the van, which prompted them to buy a more suitable motorhome. In an interview with La Vanguardia, the couple said they alternate six months on the road with six months in stationary housing in Cádiz. They advise beginners to start with renting, noting difficulties with water and electricity in remote places. The new motorhome is equipped with heating and technology for comfortable living and working, chosen following expert advice.
