Íñigo, a resident of San Sebastián, has lived in a converted truck since 2018, traveling across Europe. He bought a former flower-delivery truck for 35,000 euros, including the conversion. Inside, there is a kitchen with a gas stove, oven, refrigerator, and a dry toilet. The water tank holds over 100 liters, lasting 10 days.
His monthly expenses are about 200 euros for fuel, 10 euros for internet, and 3 euros for gas. Íñigo works as a digital nomad: his main income comes from a platform connecting individuals with vehicle-conversion workshops, plus sales of his book on Amazon (over 8,000 copies sold).
"Saving on rent is nice, but I do it mainly for my passion for travel; my dream was to earn a living while traveling the world in my camper," he told French magazine Marie France.
