Family from Bergamo moves to a motorhome in Tenerife, keeps jobs in Italy

The new motorhome area in Mosteiro, municipality of Pol (Galicia), was officially inaugurated this weekend. Around 130 motorhomes and 300 visitors from Galicia, Asturias, Ponferrada, and the Canary Islands attended. A commemorative plaque was unveiled, and local officials highlighted the area's role in promoting itinerant tourism and boosting the local economy.

On June 19, Palma police removed an abandoned caravan on Jean B. Laurens street in Son Güells. The trailer was detached from its towing vehicle, violating municipal parking rules. No one was inside, and it was taken to an impound lot.

Grupo Piqueras has strengthened its presence along the Málaga–Sotogrande corridor by offering three complementary services: motorhome rental, van rental for businesses, and moving services for individuals and companies. Motorhome rental includes delivery at Málaga airport, while vans can be rented by the hour, day, or month. Moving services include professional packing and temporary storage.

The province of Cádiz (Spain) has seen a sharp increase in motorhomes and camper vans, leading to conflicts over parking, waste, and fire risk. In August 2025, a fire in the La Peña area, allegedly started by a motorhome, forced the evacuation of 1,500 people. Municipal authorities are introducing varying restrictions: in Tarifa, 78 vehicles were fined in one month for parking in a natural park, while El Puerto de Santa María still lacks a unified local ordinance.

South African company Bushwakka has introduced the Kamelback 4 module for the Toyota Land Cruiser 79 double cab. The conversion replaces the pickup's rear section with an aluminum unit featuring a pop-up roof, kitchen, and sleeping space for four. The module costs approximately €28,750 excluding the base vehicle.

El Llosar camping in Vilafranca del Cid (Castellón) has reopened after six years of inactivity. The project was launched by entrepreneurs Sonia Málago and Álex Domingo, who returned to the area to promote rural tourism. The three-star campsite offers 60 pitches for tents and motorhomes, ranging from 50 to 90 sq m. Future plans include a schedule of activities and a possible glamping area.
