Gas consumption in a motorhome depends on the appliances used and how often they are operated. The largest consumer is the gas heater, which uses 150–400 g/h. A water heater adds about 200 g/day, a stove 150–250 g/day, a refrigerator 300–600 g/day, and a grill 200–400 g/h. In warm regions without heating, one 11 kg cylinder lasts 14 days; for winter camping, two cylinders are recommended. In Germany, cylinder exchange is available at hardware stores, gas stations, and campsites, but in other European countries adapters may be needed due to the lack of a uniform standard.
