Eva Outram, 28, left her job as a project manager at the UK's National Health Service (NHS), earning £38,000 a year (about €44,400), to move into a caravan. In August 2024, she and her partner bought a caravan for £4,800 (around €5,610) and now live on a farm near Chester, paying no rent in exchange for 3–6 hours of work per week. Their monthly housing costs are about £125 (€146), down from the £1,300 (around €1,520) she previously paid for her flat. Eva now works as a content creator and rents out her former flat.
