The number of people choosing motorhomes and camper vans for travel in Spain continues to grow, especially after the pandemic. Sergio Vallecillo, founder of Planeta Camper, says the main challenge is teaching beginners how to manage resources (electricity, water) and comply with regulations. Infrastructure in Spain lags behind demand, unlike in France, Belgium, and Germany. Safety, he says, comes from common sense and route planning via apps and forums.
