Couple from Jalisco travels Mexico in converted bus with two dogs

The group 'Viajando por México en RV' has over 100,000 followers and a community of 1,200 travelers who organize routes across the country. This is boosting tourism in Parral.

About 80 families are traveling through 10 municipalities of the state in August to boost regional tourism. The convoy of 40 motorhomes arrived in Parral as part of the Tarahumara Route 2026.

According to regulations, the permit covers only the motorhome, and additional vehicles are considered illegally imported. A severe storm in Hermosillo caused a power outage and fire risk for the motorhome of the couple known as Nudos Viajeros. Strong winds knocked a branch onto a transformer next to their vehicle, sparking flames. The couple quickly moved their motorhome and took temporary shelter at a nearby Oxxo store.

On Wednesday night, a motorhome was partially submerged by the tide on El Comitán beach in La Paz, surprising its occupants. No injuries were reported; bystanders assisted in removing the vehicle. The incident highlights the importance of monitoring tidal conditions before parking near the shoreline.

Deputy Gabriela Guadalupe Martínez Vázquez introduced a bill to regulate the circulation of off-road recreational vehicles in protected natural areas of San Luis Potosí. The initiative includes restricting ATVs and motorcycles in ecologically sensitive zones, creating a registry of service providers, establishing authorized routes, and mandatory training for operators. The bill does not ban adventure tourism but sets rules to balance recreation with conservation.
