Skoda adds Camp Mode to electric cars for overnight stays

Skoda Auto has released the MySkoda 8.14 update with Camp Mode, which maintains the cabin temperature overnight via the app. The feature requires no extra accessories or service visit; the traction battery must be at least 30% charged and Skoda Connect services active. Capacity of rest area on D1 near Kozlov to triple

The Road and Motorway Directorate (ŘSD) plans to expand the Jamenský potok rest area at km 121 of the D1 near Kozlov. Currently there are 181 spaces on both sides; after expanding the left side toward Prague, capacity will rise to 705. The project has passed an environmental impact assessment (EIA). The left side will get three rows for trucks and three rows for cars, including electric vehicles, plus spaces for caravans and buses. Construction is expected to start no earlier than 2027, with completion no earlier than 2029.
