The Casinha Viageira project, in which a couple travels across Brazil in a motorhome equipped with a library, will visit the state of Rio de Janeiro for the first time. From September 9 to 21, 2026, the motorhome will stop in five municipalities, offering free activities: storytelling, literary workshops and a traveling library.
The project is organized by the duo Alessandra Prandi and Ricardo Gonçalves. It is supported by the Rio de Janeiro City Hall and the Secretariat for Integration through the Integrario program.
The motorhome will visit eight venues with storytelling sessions and books for all ages. The program includes folk songs, interactive games, outdoor reading and tours of the interior of the home on wheels. The library has more than a hundred titles, including works by African and indigenous authors, as well as sensory and adapted formats. Participation is free, no prior registration required.
