According to data from PiNCAMP (ADAC) and ACSI, Croatia has become the most expensive camping destination in Europe. A family with two children and a caravan pays an average of €78.28 per night (ACSI data), while PiNCAMP's analysis puts the figure at €73. For comparison, Switzerland costs €61–61.33, Italy €63, and Slovenia €60.14.
Since 2020, average camping prices in Europe have risen by almost 25% (24.7% per ACSI). Croatia saw an annual increase of about 12%, Spain 15%. Reasons include infrastructure investments, rising operating costs, the euro adoption, and high demand.
The cheapest countries are Turkey (€13.57 per night), Norway (€38), Sweden (€40), and Germany (€41). Traveling off-season saves on average 30%, with Croatia seeing differences of over 50%.
