A family in Germany pays on average 41 euros per night at a campsite during peak season, while a holiday apartment costs 68.61 euros per night, according to an analysis. However, additional costs such as camper rental (55–150 euros per day) and cleaning fees narrow the gap. Owners of their own motorhomes save money, but only if they use it for at least 4–6 weeks per year.
