Icelandic company Vikurverk, specializing in motorhomes, caravans, and campers, announced an expansion of its product range and upcoming events. From September 7 to 11, special vehicle days will be held, featuring new and used models. The company also plans to unveil 2027 novelties in autumn and winter.

In their new show, Joko and Klaas travel to Iceland in an older camper. During a visit to a tomato farm in Fridheimar, they sample tomato beer and other alcoholic drinks, leaving Klaas unable to drive. Despite being told not to stay in the living area while the vehicle is moving, they continue drinking until the production team steps in and moves them to the crew car. The episode airs on ProSieben next Wednesday at 8:15 PM, with Joyn Plus subscribers able to watch it a week earlier.

In Iceland, renting a 4x4 camper is essential for accessing F-roads, which are off-limits to regular vehicles. Fines for entering these roads with an unauthorized vehicle exceed 2,000 euros and void any insurance. Rental prices range from 80–130 euros per day in the low season (October–April) to 180–350 euros in the high season (July–August). Winter tires with studs are mandatory from November to March, and most insurance policies do not cover water damage from river crossings. Experts recommend booking at least six months in advance.

Rescue teams from Hveragerði and Grímsnes assisted a group of hikers who got lost on Ingólfsfjall mountain between Hveragerði and Selfoss on Sunday evening as darkness fell. Meanwhile, a team from Blönduós responded to a motorhome that slid off the road at Vatnsskarð pass and became stuck in slush; occupants were taken to safety, but the vehicle was left behind.
