Data from Pitchup.com shows UK camping, glamping and caravan sites averaged 9.1 out of 10 from British holidaymakers, ahead of the Netherlands (8.8), France (8.7), Italy (8.3), Germany (8.2), Spain (8.1) and Ireland (8.1). The analysis is based on nearly 200,000 customer reviews from the 2025 Gold Awards, where sites needed an average rating of at least 8 out of 10 from a minimum of 20 verified reviews. Nine sites achieved a perfect score, with The Spinney Wild Camping in North East England taking the top spot with 10 out of 10 across 32 reviews.
