Three routes for a five-day motorhome camping trip were tested. The Qinghai Lake loop is recommended for beginners due to mature campground infrastructure, the Hainan Island loop for families with children, and the Wuhai Desert for experienced travelers. The routes range from 600 to 1000 km, with a daily drive of 160-200 km. New regulations in some areas, including Arxan and Sanya, require overnight stays only in designated campgrounds.
