At the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, a temporary RV park called RV City houses employees who travel from out of state to work the event. According to Rusty Fitzgerald, senior vice president of midway operations, the employee RV park has roughly 200 to 250 spaces; Fitzgerald also lives there and is unofficially known as the "mayor of RV City." Vendor Lupita Valerio from San Antonio has returned for 30 years, spending about two months in her trailer with workers who stay in bunk beds she installed.
