According to DGT, the fleet of motorhomes and campers in Spain has grown significantly over the past decade: from just over 48,000 in 2015 to nearly 137,000 in 2025 (or 2026, according to another source). That represents a 185% increase over ten years.
In the Basque Country, 557 new motorhomes and campers were registered in 2025, making it the fifth autonomous region by this measure, behind Catalonia, Andalusia, Madrid, and the Valencian Community. In 2025, the second-hand market for these vehicles grew by 14.9%.
In the province of Ourense, a new company, Galicia Caravaning, opened and sold 18 motorhomes in two months. Prices for new motorhomes start at 40,000 euros, while used ones can be cheaper.
