In Spain, 70% of people under 34 cannot leave their parents' home due to unaffordable housing. Some are turning to motorhomes and camper vans as a solution. Antonio Domenech, a teacher from Madrid, has lived in a motorhome since 2019, cutting monthly costs from €300 for a room to €20. Massage therapist Yamile Mora on Ibiza paid €550 per month for a camper van without a shower, but after an illegal settlement of 200 people was evicted, she was left homeless.
