In August 2026, a 500-km loop route around Taihu Lake was published for a 7-day motorhome trip. The route starts in Wuxi and passes through Yixing, Changzhou, Huzhou, Nanxun, Suzhou, and back to Wuxi, including three professional motorhome campsites: Taihu No.1, Dongtaihu No.1, and Jiucaiyuan. The average daily distance is about 70 km. The rental cost of a Class C motorhome (6 seats, 5 berths) during the summer season is 800–1200 yuan per day, with a total budget of 7000–10000 yuan for 7 days. Alternative routes in southern Anhui and the southern Zhejiang coast are also considered.
